Durango film festival announces awards

Dusty Hulet’s documentary, “Bears of Durango,” was voted best documentary by the audience at the 13th annual Durango Film festival on Sunday.

The 13th annual Durango Film: An Independent Film Festival wrapped up Sunday night.

After five days of films, festival judges and audiences honored films and filmmakers at an awards party at the Irish Embassy.

Audience Award Best Adventure Film: Altai Frontier by Vivienne Smith

Audience Award Best Family Film: 18 Frames by Aiden Hurley

Audience Award Best School Film: Light Sight by Seyed M Tabatabaei
