Bayfield High School’s girls volleyball team won a hard-fought contest Tuesday night in Farmington.
The Wolverines (3-5) won the final three sets, including a thrilling fourth 26-24, to close out the match three sets to one (18-25, 25-20, 25-17, 26-24).
Maddi Foutz and Jade Pascale led the way for Bayfield with 16 combined kills.
“It was a good, solid match for us,” Bayfield head coach Terene Foutz said. “I’m proud of these young athletes for staying calm in the clutch and maintaining our composure. That’s what got us the win (Tuesday night).”The Wolverines will travel Thursday to Aztec for an away game scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
