‘Laws are there – to be enforced!’

Why are the police and state patrol not enforcing the law in regard to expired vehicle registration tags on license plates? For quite a while now, I have been seeing tags that are more than three months, and a majority that are six months or more out of date.

This provides law enforcement with probable cause to pull over, write a citation and probably find an expired license or no insurance. Irresponsible drivers need to be removed from our roads, and that is why the laws are there – to be enforced!

Every time I am on the road, I see expired tags. I have also seen police cars behind them with no reaction. There are always articles about not enough funding for law enforcement. Seems this is an easy source of revenue by enforcing the law.
