From Silverton SingleTrack Society, a trail advocacy group for mountain bikers, announced that it, in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management’s Gunnison office, will hold a trail work event Sept. 8 on Boulder Gulch Trail, located just north of Silverton.

SingleTrack members and BLM staff will work with community volunteers to restore the trail, which is a 3,600-foot descent from above tree line.

Volunteers should come prepared to spend the day in the high country.
