Wines of the San Juan receives awards

The awards for Wines of the San Juan from the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition.

Wines of the San Juan is pleased to announce that the 2016 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition has awarded 16 medals to the winery, based in Blanco, N.M.

The winery received silver medals for it Nonvintage Tribulation Reserve, 2014 Blanco Rojo, 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2014 Symphony, 2013 Pinot Gris, 2011 Serendipity Merlot, which are all available now in bottles for purchase, as well as the 2014 Petite Sirah, 2014 Dolcetto, 2013 Taxi Cab, 2014 Shiraz, and 2014 Red Blend, which are in the winery's tanks.

Winning bronze medals were the 2011 Dry Blue Winged Olive, now available, and 2015 Rose of Dolcetto, 2014 Red Zinfandel, 2014 Serendipity Merlot and 2014 Tribulation Reserve.

Seven of these award-winning wines are available for purchase at the winery and at various retail locations. The remaining nine wines were a special bottling for the competition, and the winery will be releasing them as they mature and evolve. Many of these wines

The Finger Lakes International Wine Competition is the largest American wine competition to benefit charity. With more than 80 judges from around the world, a total of 3,824 wines were entered from 26 countries and 916 wineries, including wineries from all 50 states.

Wines of the San Juan is a family owned winery on the banks of the San Juan River south of Arboles and Durango. The winery is open daily for tastings and tours except for Tuesday. More information is at www.winesofthesanjuan.com
